Virtually every painter, sculptor or photographer of the male nude, from Flandrin to Von Gloeden to Maxfield Parrish has succumbed to this classic pose. I don't know what it is, but there is something about it that is irresistible.
When the right model strikes it at the right time, I am no exception.
